About this deal

In contrast to some people below i think this is very much in the same vein as LO and PO - they certainly share the same Dior-oud note and where PO is a bit drier and LO is a bit rounder than OR, the dry down of all three are fairly similar (except for the extra animality in this one). Rosewood allows me to enjoy what I do love about Bronze... the soft, warm, powdery pastry-like feel, with just enough citric quality to kind of "wake it up" from the bergamot. Rosewood feels to me like it has much more going on than just amber, tea, and bergamot... I swear I detect orchid. Desert Rosewood is a dry, warm spicy scent. I don't get a rich balsamic vibe to it, more just a dry spice. I get the cardamom, rosewood and patchouli in particular. It reminds me a little of Aesop's Marrakech Intense in that regard. They are not the same fragrance, but they both have that spiciness that smells as if you are sniffing spices from a spice drawer. There is minimal sweetness to this scent despite the benzoin, vanilla and mandarin notes. These 3 notes do give a tad bit more of a roundness to the scent instead of it being just straight wood and spices. For the Hand & Body Wash: How awesome is this? You can shower in your favourite scent before applying it to your body. There will no longer be a clash between the fragrance of your shower and the scent you apply. A luxurious lathering hand and body wash that is paraben free. Suitable for vegan and vegetarians and cruelty free. I smelled this couple of years ago for the first time on my brother-in-law's girfriend and had to try it for myself. Yes, it was nice but powdery scents are not my thing so I never bought it. Fast forward to this weekend when I was at BR and saw some travel sizes of their fragrances and there were few Rosewood left. Sold!

To my nose there is no close comparison to the 2 other fragrances - Oud rosewood has much better projection and silage and is of a much higher quality blend. Oud Rosewood is a big hit for me, I'd even go as far as saying it's probably one the best MCD releases to date, so much so that I bought 250ml to sit alongside my Oud Ispahan and Leather Oud. Maison Christian Dior Collection, the exclusive perfume line of the Dior House, presents its new edition in April 2020 under the name of Oud Rosewood. It get something crisp, yet indistinct in the opening...never the alleged lime. After a few times with this, I finally understand the tea note...but it's still more white tea rather than green. All in all, it suffices to say this is predominantly an amber scent. the raspberry and quince jam are there to provide just some sweetness and tartness. they are not dominant at all.I need to get a bottle of this, it's just incredible to my nose. One of the best amber fragrances I've ever smelled. I would say that if you love amber, you can safely blind buy but there is no such thing as a safe blind buy. On my skin, this just works and smells incredible but it may not on your own. So, always sample before you buy. It may not be for everyone but I think everyone should at least try to smell and sample it, at least once in their lives. i can see this might become a go to oud fragrance for a lot of people in the community as its not very challenging and smells pleasant to people yet smells 'Niche' and unique. Delox doesn’t have any issues with the longevity or projection. It’s an absolute powerhouse! However there is something in that scent, like the montale and mancera that bothers me, it’s just a little bit too harsh for my liking.

I loved the smell of Bronze, but was unable to pull it off because of the tartness of the lemonade accord. I do envy those who can make tart citruses work. But Rosewood didn't let go of me, I couldn't stop thinking about that fine fragrance. It is not mega unique but I have never met anything comparable. The official scent pyramid lists only three notes of amber, tea and citrus. I also detect a hint of musk and sandalwood. The composition overall is well-blended and easy to wear. The projection is moderate to soft, however, the longevity is surprisingly decent lasting approximately seven hours on my skin. Oud Rosewood has a similar DNA to Santal Noir however, it is less sweet and much spicier. It has a beautiful smokiness to it that I really love - it's like the smokiness in Santal Noir's dry down but better. This tips it more masculine than feminine for me. Long story short,Rosewood is a heavenly, smooth, cozy, comforting, ageless beauty in my book. it's wearable anywhere, anytime though I prefer it's cuddly, delightful, warm sweetness in cooler days and nights.it's a very difficult to find perfume where I live so I feel like I am the only proud owner of this beauty.

It's like a mixture of Kuumba Made Amber Paste with Demeter Baby Powder and Skin Musk. A little rose essential oil for good measure.
